Live Life

JOY JOY JOY JOY JOY JOY JOY JOY JOY JOY JOY JOY JOY JOY JOY JOY

I stole these pictures from Ethan's facebook. I love them because they remind me of what is truly valuable in life. In the face of our country's dilemas; in all the things that "could happen"- I am reminded that there is joy that costs nothing.

That joy is found in our relationships, and in living life together. Laughing, learning, loving, encouraging, praying...This past weekend Ethan's football team lost 56 to 19. (and yes, I was praying!) It was quite an upset and as you can imagine, the mood was a little low. But it didn't spoil their plans to get together afterward to enjoy one another. It is nice to know that circumstances do not need to dictate our enjoyment of life when we focus on the right things and choose to celebrate what we do have.
Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment.
1 Timothy 6:17

I so agree with you. And losing a game 56-19 is a perfect example of the fact that our circumstances do not need to dictate our joy! :) Fun pictures.

JOY!

The joy of the Lord is our strength.

Glad you are clinging to what matters not our worldly circumstances.

Hi Kathy...I love the header photo. I just want to sit down and swing the afternoon away. It just looks peaceful. I think these pics capture true joy - hanging out with buds and laughing together. Thanks for your sweet note! I'm trying to get life more balanced so I can blog again soon.

Thank God our joy is not found in our circumstances!! I would hate to think that was all I had to depend on. Mercy!

The pictures are beautiful and I love your new header! Is that your yard? You certainly have a way of making things around you look beautiful, must be that natural decorator's touch!
Love and Blessings,
Starr
