Word Tsunami

Your word, O LORD, is eternal;
   it stands firm in the heavens. Psalm 119:89

Stand in Awe of God
 1 Guard your steps when you go to the house of God. Go near to listen rather than to offer the sacrifice of fools, who do not know that they do wrong.
 2 Do not be quick with your mouth,
   do not be hasty in your heart
   to utter anything before God.
God is in heaven
   and you are on earth,
   so let your words be few.
3 As a dream comes when there are many cares,
   so the speech of a fool when there are many words. Ecclesiastes 5:1-3

In the tsunami of words at our fingertips, it is good to withdraw and dwell on the eternal word that stands in the heavens. :)

One of my favorite verses is, "Be still and know that I am God." Psalm 46:10

Amidst all the busyness and chaos in our lives, it is so important to, step back, stop striving and listen. It is in those quiet moments that God's still small voice it heard.

Blessings! Joan

Less words; more listening!

A good reminder for my writing heart this day.

Live it like you mean it, sister!
